Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leg Sweeperton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sweeperton comes to the cage accompanied by Bas Beats. Vargas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dominican kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Vargas has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Randy Vargas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leg Sweeperton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Vargas! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sweeperton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vargas napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sweeperton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Vargas seems a little lost for a moment, as Sweeperton dominates the positioning. Sweeperton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vargas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sweeperton connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vargas some visible discomfort.
Vargas can't do much from the bottom here. The ground and pound from Sweeperton seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Vargas manages to get back to half guard. Sweeperton seems to be working for a kimura but Vargas defends the submission attempt. Sweeperton passes the guard and advances to mount! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sweeperton in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweeperton controlling from mount. Sweeperton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vargas for as long as he can get away with. Vargas is trying to escape the mount but Sweeperton keeps good control and instead manages to take Vargas's back.
Vargas is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Sweeperton off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Sweeperton trying to control momentarily.
Vargas is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sweeperton gets his way!
Vargas wants to control his opponent's hands but Sweeperton gets his hands free. Sweeperton looking to break Vargas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Vargas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sweeperton will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sweeperton has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Vargas has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Vargas defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sweeperton's arms. Vargas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sweeperton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sweeperton has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Vargas has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Vargas is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Maybe a few strikes would soften Vargas for a finish. Vargas covering up well under a series of strikes from Sweeperton.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweeperton sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Vargas taps out!
