Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rango Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon McBacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rango Gracie ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon McBacon! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McBacon to the mat! McBacon manages to get full guard. Gracie stands up from McBacon's guard - Gracie perhaps looking for a knockout. Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gracie trying to control from half guard but McBacon is working away. Gracie with the ground and pound but McBacon uses the opportunity to regain guard. Gracie looking to pass the guard. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McBacon is keeping the position for now. Gracie has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McBacon is proving hard to escape from. Gracie wants to control from the top but McBacon keeps moving. McBacon trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to stand up but McBacon won't let him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McBacon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McBacon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gracie has his takedown stuffed and McBacon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Gracie shoots in but McBacon avoids the takedown attempt easily. McBacon throws a poor cross that misses
and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McBacon is trying to get back to his feet. Gracie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gracie fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McBacon is trying to control Gracie 's posture but Gracie avoids it. Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but McBacon is defending well. McBacon is trying to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McBacon can do anything to dispel that myth. Gracie is trying to ground and pound but McBacon uses the momentary lack of control by Gracie to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rango Gracie dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
McBacon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but McBacon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat. McBacon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McBacon throws a good cross that connects.

Simon McBacon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McBacon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
McBacon lands with a shot to the body. McBacon throws a right and a left that both miss. McBacon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McBacon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from McBacon. Gracie blocks a head kick by McBacon.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A nice combination there by Gracie .

Rango Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McBacon scores with a body shot.
McBacon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie . McBacon throws a head kick that misses. McBacon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Simon McBacon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to grapple but his opponent circles and McBacon counters with a three punch combo that has Gracie backing up. Gracie nods at McBacon to acknowledge the strikes. A telegraphed right hand from McBacon misses the target. Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McBacon. McBacon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McBacon throws a poor cross that misses
and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McBacon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McBacon is breathing heavily. Gracie lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McBacon is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up. Gracie stands up from McBacon's guard - Gracie perhaps looking for a knockout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McBacon misses with a body shot.
McBacon jabbing away but nothing is landing. McBacon throws a one two combo.
It looks like Rango Gracie has been cut. Gracie misses with a takedown and McBacon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McBacon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control. McBacon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gracie has hold of McBacon's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McBacon seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McBacon is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McBacon is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rango Gracie !
