Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ranallo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Pierce counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Ranallo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ranallo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pierce has gone for a leg lock! Ranallo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pierce's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pierce escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ranallo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pierce is on top in guard.

Pierce postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ranallo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pierce, into his guard.

Pierce is trying to escape back to his feet but Ranallo uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Pierce has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pierce struggling a bit here.

Pierce throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ranallo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pierce pinned against the cage. Pierce gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rafael Pierce comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Pierce winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
