Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francis Vinci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zane Maelstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maelstrom has chosen Hatebreed - In ashes they shall reap as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Francis Vinci!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zane Maelstrom!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinci tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maelstrom swivels and escapes.
Maelstrom wants to clinch up but Vinci keeps it at a distance.
Maelstrom drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Maelstrom drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maelstrom jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vinci had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maelstrom defends it easily.
Vinci is breathing heavily.
Maelstrom slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Maelstrom pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vinci is keeping the position for now.
Maelstrom trying to control the position from guard on top but Vinci is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vinci keeping full guard, as Maelstrom tries to pass.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Zane Maelstrom was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Maelstrom pushes Vinci up against the cage in a clinch.
Maelstrom tries to circle away but Vinci has him pinned against the cage.
Vinci misses with a knee to the head.
Vinci fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vinci jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Maelstrom walks away with a smile on his face. Vinci gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francis Vinci. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maelstrom misses with a series of wild punches.
Maelstrom moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Francis Vinci has been cut.
Maelstrom closes the distance and pushes Vinci back into the cage.
Vinci tries to pull guard but Maelstrom won't allow it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maelstrom pulls Vinci into guard.
Maelstrom controlling the position.
Maelstrom is looking to stand up but Vinci isn't so interested in that idea.

Maelstrom tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Maelstrom pulls Vinci in to control the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Zane Maelstrom wasn't active enough on the ground.
Maelstrom clinches with his opponent.
Maelstrom pulls guard effortlessly.
Maelstrom wants to get back to his feet but Vinci is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Maelstrom working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vinci.

Maelstrom looking for a sweep. Not yet Maelstrom, not yet.
Vinci trying to control but Maelstrom is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vinci trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Maelstrom is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Maelstrom has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Vinci regains guard immediately.
Maelstrom looking to sit in guard and control but Vinci gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maelstrom can do anything to dispel that myth.
Maelstrom wants to sweep here but Vinci controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vinci loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Maelstrom trying to control the position here.
Vinci will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vinci accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zane Maelstrom dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Francis Vinci's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Maelstrom scores with a takedown into Vinci's guard.
Zane Maelstrom has got the better of the ground game so far.
Maelstrom trying to move into half guard but instead Vinci has managed to sweep!
Vinci has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Maelstrom is proving hard to escape from.
Maelstrom is adopting a defensive guard.
Vinci trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Maelstrom manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Maelstrom changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vinci looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Vinci is rocked!
Vinci takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Oh Vinci is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maelstrom scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Vinci is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Maelstrom can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zane Maelstrom!
