The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulaku looks to land a body kick but Brawler moved away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brawler is looking to stand up but Pulaku isn't so interested in that idea.
Pulaku wants to get up but he can't break Brawler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Brawler has his feet on Pulaku's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Pulaku works over Brawler's head and body with a nice combination.

Brawler moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pulaku tries for a takedown but Brawler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Pulaku gets control of Brawler's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pulaku will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Brawler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round but I would say that Kulapu Pulaku will probably get the nod.
