The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atheist walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Le Grand tries to close the distance and clinch but Atheist swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Le Grand lands with an overhand left.
Fede Le Grand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Le Grand moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Le Grand scores with a one two! Atheist had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Atheist.

Atheist has Le Grand up against the cage in a clinch.

Atheist does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Le Grand swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Atheist.
Le Grand lands a really nice looking cross but Atheist seems unphased.
Le Grand connects with a crisp jab.
Le Grand is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Atheist takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
