Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Earl Alexander! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alexander is defended easily by Garcia. Earl Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Garcia misses the target. Garcia takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Garcia, as that shot connected.
Alexander throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Horrible takedown by Alexander or perhaps it was just good defense by Garcia which made him look bad. Garcia fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Garcia scores with a hook to the body. Alexander takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Alexander tries to clinch but Garcia moves out of range. Alexander keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garcia tries to avoid it but Alexander manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garcia to the ground. Garcia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Frank Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earl Alexander. Alexander uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Garcia. The fighters circling - Garcia throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Garcia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alexander.
Alexander throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Garcia is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Alexander closes the distance and clinches up with Garcia, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes Garcia against the cage but Garcia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Alexander uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia.
Garcia throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Alexander moves into the clinch successfully.
Alexander misses with some punches.
Alexander throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia is trying to break the clinch but Alexander has him pressed against the cage. Alexander goes for a takedown attempt but Garcia pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Alexander shoots in and drives through. Garcia sprawls well. Garcia lands a head shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Alexander fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garcia manages to avoid it. Garcia slips under a jab from Alexander. Garcia lands a jab. No joy there for Alexander, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alexander misses with an uppercut. Garcia saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Garcia slips a jab from Alexander. Garcia misses with a series of wild punches.
Garcia stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Alexander is rocked! Garcia is stalking Alexander. Alexander circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Garcia, and it's lights out! Alexander really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Frank Garcia!
