The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter shoots in but no luck this time.
Dawson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dawson fails with a takedown attempt.
Dawson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Rick Carter has been cut.
Carter dodges the punch combination from Dawson.
Carter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dawson did well to prevent Carter getting side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Carter moves into full mount! Dawson won't be happy about that!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dawson tries to control the position but Carter now has his back.
Dawson tries to escape but Carter has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Carter is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dawson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dawson for a finish.
Dawson is trying to stand back up.
Dawson won't enjoy being in this position. Carter looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Dawson is tapping - it's over boys! Carter picks up the submission victory!
