Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Faus Delacruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tadayoshi Ishimaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delacruz comes to the cage accompanied by never say never. Tadayoshi Ishimaru has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Faus Delacruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tadayoshi Ishimaru!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delacruz tries to clinch up but Ishimaru circles away and keeps his distance.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ishimaru, as that shot connected.
Ishimaru lands a nice shot to the body.
Delacruz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ishimaru pinned against the cage. Ishimaru gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ishimaru stuns Delacruz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ishimaru showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Delacruz.
Ishimaru lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ishimaru connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Delacruz's hands.
Delacruz shoots in looking for a takedown but Ishimaru manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Delacruz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ishimaru lands a nice hook to Delacruz's body. Delacruz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ishimaru.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Delacruz throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Ishimaru shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Delacruz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ishimaru postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ishimaru makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ishimaru engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ishimaru is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Delacruz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ishimaru is nestled in close to Delacruz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ishimaru is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Delacruz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ishimaru is working away from the top position though.

Ishimaru is working for a kimura but Delacruz is defending it quite comfortably.

Ishimaru working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Delacruz is looking for a triangle but Ishimaru pushes his legs off easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ishimaru lands a couple of elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tadayoshi Ishimaru dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Delacruz shoots in looking for a takedown but Ishimaru manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Delacruz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ishimaru drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Delacruz tries to improve position but can't.
Delacruz takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ishimaru in side control lands a decent elbow.
Ishimaru cracks Delacruz with a big elbow.
Ishimaru wants to take a breather but Delacruz manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ishimaru.

Ishimaru wants to pass the guard but Delacruz is keeping the position.
Delacruz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Delacruz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ishimaru is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ishimaru makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ishimaru slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Delacruz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ishimaru wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ishimaru lands a decent elbow from side control.
Oh Delacruz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Delacruz takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Ishimaru is putting a hurting on Delacruz here, landing some big shots from side control.
Ishimaru has knee on belly momentarily but Delacruz bucks him off and regains half guard.

Ishimaru goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Delacruz turns into him and now he's in Ishimaru's guard.

Ishimaru pushes Delacruz off and gets back to his feet.

Ishimaru seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tadayoshi Ishimaru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ishimaru can't control as he wanted to and Delacruz manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Ishimaru is looking to take a break and control but Delacruz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ishimaru is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Delacruz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ishimaru's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ishimaru's back!

Delacruz is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Delacruz doesn't have the hooks in and Ishimaru manages to turn into his guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ishimaru wants to control from the top but Delacruz keeps moving.
Ishimaru postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Ishimaru must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ishimaru looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Delacruz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ishimaru lands a nice short elbow.
Faus Delacruz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Delacruz is in trouble now - Ishimaru has advanced to mount!
Ishimaru fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Delacruz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Ishimaru postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Delacruz badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Ishimaru around the waist but Ishimaru pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Ishimaru is the winner by TKO! Ishimaru jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tadayoshi Ishimaru!
