Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Neal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Nixon could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Phil Neal's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Nixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil Neal! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nixon throws a sloppy head kick and Neal moves out of range easily. Neal stuffs the takedown. Neal gets the takedown into side control. Nixon takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Nixon is letting Neal control him for a moment. Neal lands a few punches from side control. Nixon is looking to reverse the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neal working the ground and pound. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Neal connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Nixon some visible discomfort.
Neal in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Nixon is rocked! Neal tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Oh Nixon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The referee asks Neal politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Neal prefers to stall for the moment though. Nixon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Neal's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Neal tries to move to mount but Nixon blocks the move with his legs. Neal stands up. Nixon seems to have got his legs back now. Neal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nixon was covering up waiting for the punch and Neal finishes the takedown easily into guard. Neal working some strikes from top position. Neal makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Neal throwing strikes but missing. Neal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neal chips away with some ground and pound. Neal sitting in guard, not really doing much. Neal scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Neal is working Nixon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Neal working some strikes from top position. Nixon wants to sweep here but Neal controlling him for the moment. Nixon is breathing heavily. Neal keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nixon's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neal content to stall in guard here. Neal scoring with punches to the head and body. Nixon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Neal works over Nixon with some ground and pound from guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Neal's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Neal's corner is telling him to maintain position. Neal postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Nixon being controlled here, momentarily. Neal distracts Nixon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Neal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Neal postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Neal is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Neal's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Neal wants to pass the guard but Nixon is keeping the position. Neal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil Neal dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nixon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Neal tries to avoid it but Nixon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Neal to the ground. Neal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Neal closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nixon quickly recovers to half guard. Neal working the head and body with strikes. Neal is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Neal lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Nixon! More strikes land and this one is all over! Neal jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Neal!
