PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gusandall Ingunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akaki Marjanishvili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ingunn comes to the cage accompanied by Darkcore . Marjanishvili has chosen Sabaton - Panzerkampf as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gusandall Ingunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akaki Marjanishvili!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingunn doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Marjanishvili counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Marjanishvili drops back looking for a leg! Ingunn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ingunn manages to kick Marjanishvili off! Marjanishvili jumps back into Ingunn's guard.

Marjanishvili has control of Ingunn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ingunn regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ingunn tries to reverse the position but Marjanishvili maintains control.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Ingunn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Marjanishvili quickly recovers to half guard.

Ingunn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Marjanishvili defends it well.

Ingunn looking for a submission but Marjanishvili manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Ingunn is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Marjanishvili is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Marjanishvili has escaped and now he's on top!

Marjanishvili works to advance to full mount. Ingunn defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akaki Marjanishvili showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Marjanishvili closes the distance and clinches up with Ingunn, looking for a takedown. Marjanishvili pushes Ingunn against the cage but Ingunn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ingunn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marjanishvili to the mat! Marjanishvili manages to get full guard.

Ingunn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Marjanishvili dives on top into guard.

Marjanishvili has hold of Ingunn's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ingunn seems comfortable defending it but Marjanishvili has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ingunn is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ingunn is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Marjanishvili couldn't care less - he's delighted!
