Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julian George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George comes to the cage accompanied by city. White has chosen N/A as his entrance music. Julian George has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julian George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander White!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with George, pushing him back against the cage.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
White wants to clinch.
George fails in his attempt to clinch.
White stuffs the takedown.
Horrible takedown by White or perhaps it was just good defense by George which made him look bad.
Alexander White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
George looks for a takedown but White sprawls well.

George closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. White quickly recovers to half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

White looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
George looks to land a strike but White avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

George wants to work for an arm triangle but White is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
White is looking to escape.

George thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed White's head.
George throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
George is trying to control. White wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

George is sneakily working for an arm triangle but White sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

George looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

White rushes George and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
White lands with a thumping leg kick.
White tries to close the distance and clinch but George swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

George wants to clinch up but White keeps it at a distance.
White shoots in for a double leg but George sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Julian George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander White.

White fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but George avoids it really well and circles away.
George shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with White but White pushes him off and we're back to square one.

White shoots in looking for a takedown but George manages to keep the fight standing, pushing White's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

George shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
White is wriggling around trying to escape.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Julian George will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - White looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
White tries to clinch there but George circles away.
George fakes high and swings low for a body shot but White manages to avoid it.
White shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts George as he jumps to the side.
Julian George is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

George keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully.
White not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
George on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if George tries to get out of the position.
George is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst White is controlling him.
George keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alexander White.
White throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

George tries to clinch but White moves out of range.
White wants to clinch up but George keeps it at a distance.

George tries to keep at a distance but White has taken the fight into the clinch.

White's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
George throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
No luck for White with that takedown attempt.

George shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This has been an exciting period of action!

George has hold of White's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and White manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

White tries to lock up and control but George gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
George thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Poor strikes thrown by George there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
George can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as White is looking to escape.
George fails to take his opponent's back.
White is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

White wants to try and get back to his feet.
George raining down hammerfists from mount.
George won't let White get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
George looking to ground and pound but White is blocking nicely.

George is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
George tries to close the distance and clinch but White swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Julian George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander White.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Julian George.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for George, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
