Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tong Van damm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dj Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: Trick Daddy-Lets Go. Dj Jackson looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dj Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a hook to the body
and Van damm counters with a nice right hand that sends Jackson toppling to the canvas! Jackson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Van damm finish him?!
It looks like Dj Jackson has been cut.
Van damm tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Van damm is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Van damm closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Van damm blocking some punches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Van damm controlling the action here for a moment.
Jackson blocks a body shot from Van damm.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Van damm obliges.
Jackson looks gassed!
Van damm successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van damm looking for a sweep. Not yet Van damm, not yet.
Jackson wants to stand and escape but instead Van damm has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Van damm throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Van damm stays in close to Jackson's body and controls the position.
Van damm throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Van damm throwing strikes from guard but Jackson blocks nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Van damm missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Van damm postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Van damm is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Van damm thows a big elbow that misses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Van damm's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We're going to have a standup here because Tong Van damm wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Van damm lands a big head kick that sends Jackson tumbling to the mat! Van damm takes a step backwards and waves Jackson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jackson is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson switches off momentarily and Van damm cracks him with a monster right hand! Jackson topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Van damm dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Van damm!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tong Van damm!
