Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Polski! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries a head kick but it misses.

Polski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones. Jones gets caught flat footed, as Polski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Polski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Polski, into his guard. Jones wanted to stand there but Polski had control of the position. Polski pushes Jones off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Polski has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jones using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Polski has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jones tries to break free but Polski pushes him back against the cage. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Polski keeps him there for the moment. Polski will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jones up against the cage.

Polski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Polski moves out of range easily. Jones gets off balance looking for a body kick and Polski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Polski. Jones is trying to control the position but Polski postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Polski defends well. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Polski drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Polski off! Polski jumps back into Jones's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polski stands up from guard. Let's bang! Polski has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones throws an elbow but it misses.

Polski decides to pull guard. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Polski looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Polski pushes Jones off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones throws a head kick that misses and Polski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard. Jones keeping moving, preventing Polski from controlling successfully. Polski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard. Jones is breathing heavily. Polski is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Polski stands up and beckons Jones to join him on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Polski blocks a head kick by Jones.
Polski shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Polski dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Polski. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Polski circles away quickly and effectively. Jones stuffs the takedown. Jones gets tackled into the cage by Polski. Polski maintains the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A short left from Polski.

Polski dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Polski's head and hops out. Polski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Polski gets slowly back to his feet. Jeff Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Polski. Excellent takedown into side control there by Polski. Polski trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom.

Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Polski keeps moving and retains side control. Jones manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Brian Polski has got the better of the ground game so far. Polski pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.

Polski manages to escape and get back to his feet! Polski shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Polski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Polski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Polski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Polski lands with a thumping leg kick.

Brian Polski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Jones leaves Polski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Polski shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Polski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones throws a right and a left that Polski avoids nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Polski fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jeff Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Polski. Jones misses with a leg kick. Polski clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Polski has him pressed against the cage. Polski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Polski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Polski passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones! Polski looking to secure an arm triangle but Jones defends it well. Jones is in a horrible position here. Polski smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones is looking to land body kicks. Polski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. A head kick misses from Jones. Jeff Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Polski decides to return to a standing position. Polski lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jones. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones throws a leg kick letting Polski counter with a right hand. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Polski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Polski persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing. Brian Polski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jones fights it but they end up in guard. Polski stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position. Jeff Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Polski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Polski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Brian Polski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Polski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
