The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunochi has Tretow up against the cage in a clinch.
Makunochi tightens his grip and picks Tretow up, before dumping him to the ground. Tretow manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Makunochi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tretow is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tretow has escaped and now he's on top!
Makunochi has his hands on Tretow's head, controlling the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Ippo Makunochi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Makunochi enables Tretow to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Makunochi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Makunochi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tretow turns into him and now he's in Makunochi's guard.
