The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor swinging wildly here.
Santos Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.
Santos Jr closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Taylor did well to prevent Santos Jr getting side control. Taylor wants to improve his position but Santos Jr is controlling well.
Santos Jr lands strikes from half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Santos Jr lands a nice short elbow. Ground and pound from Santos Jr. Taylor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Santos Jr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Taylor is defending against the submission attempts here by Santos Jr.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos Jr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Santos Jr winds up and cracks Taylor with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
