Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Claymore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desmond Claymore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Jones!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones leaves Claymore with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Claymore fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Claymore fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Claymore is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Claymore closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Claymore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Desmond Claymore will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Jones stops Claymore from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Claymore is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jones has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jones!

Jones is controlling Claymore's posture.

Desmond Claymore showed his dominance in that final round.
