Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Sanas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thomas Lancaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Sanas!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancaster shoots and misses
enabling Sanas to counter with a crisp jab.
Lancaster shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lancaster's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sanas misses with a hook. Lancaster ducked under it nicely.

Will Sanas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lancaster is looking to clinch but Sanas is avoiding it.
Sanas jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sanas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lancasters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sanas leaves Lancaster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sanas digs a good body shot into Lancaster's ribs.
Sanas thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sanas throws the left hand but Lancaster avoids the punch easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanas throws a hook but Lancaster avoids it easily.
Sanas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lancaster ducks right into an uppercut from Sanas.
Sanas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sanas lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sanas fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice uppercut lands for Sanas. That snapped Lancaster's head back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Lancaster dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sanas misses with a looping right.
Lancaster dives in and grabs Sanas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanas pushes down on Lancaster's head and hops out.
Lancaster steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sanas.
Sanas looks to land a right hand but Lancaster moved out of range.
Lancaster tries to clinch up.
Lancaster closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanas circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Sanas. Those never looked like landing.
Lancaster slips under a jab from Sanas.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lancaster is defended easily by Sanas.

Sanas gets tackled into the cage by Lancaster. Lancaster maintains the clinch.

Lancaster ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lancaster no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lancaster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lancaster pushes a forearm under Sanas's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sanas is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
