PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between That Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Pedro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pedro has chosen sulfur as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy fails with a takedown attempt.
Guy throws a lazy head kick
and Pedro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like That Guy has been cut.
Guy doesn't manage to clinch there - Pedro circles away.
Guy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pedro moves out of range of the body kick from Guy.

Pedro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Guy to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Guy trying to control the position from guard on top but Pedro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pedro wants to stand and escape but Guy is having none of it.

Guy stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pedro leaves Guy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for That Guy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pedro tries to bum rush Guy with a series of wild strikes but Guy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pedro lands a left and a right that send Guy crashing to the mat, dazed. Pedro thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Guy is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pedro closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Guy out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
