The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill blocks a jab.
Hill keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hill throws a jab but it's blocked by Nayoui.
Hill scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Nayoui rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hill counters with a shoot takedown. Nayoui fights it but they end up in guard.
Hill being controlled here momentarily.

Hill slips nicely into half guard.
Hill prevents Nayoui from improving his position.
Nayoui blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hill.

Nayoui is looking for a sweep. Hill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hill frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hill trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Hill looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Nayoui is trying to escape the mount.
Nayoui knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hill on the ground.
Hill looking to secure an arm triangle but Nayoui defends it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hill is working for a rear naked choke. Nayoui is not defending it well and Hill has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Nayoui refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Nayoui's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
