Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Sane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sane has chosen Domination as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bret Sane!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice throws a combination that misses
and Sane counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sane trying to control but Slice is working from the bottom.
Sane wants to pass the guard but Slice is keeping the position.
Slice has a closed guard, preventing Sane from standing up.
Sane stops Slice from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bret Sane was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Aaron Slice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sane throws a head kick but Slice moves out of range.
Slice tries to bum rush Sane with a series of wild strikes but Sane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sane slips a jab and a cross from Slice.
Sane forces Slice back against the cage and clinches.
Sane breaks from the clinch.
Sane fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sane scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Sane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slice keeps working.
Slice knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sane on the ground.

Sane seems to be working for a kimura but Slice defends the submission attempt.

Slice is breathing heavily.
Sane wants to control but Slice is keeping him busy.

Sane stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Sane tries to score a power double leg takedown but Slice sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sane somewhat.

Sane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sane moves into full mount! Slice won't be happy about that!
Sane with shots to the head and body - Slice looks very uncomfortable down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Slice gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sane to score an easy takedown into full guard.
It looks like Aaron Slice has been cut.
Sane wants to control from the top but Slice keeps moving.
Sane decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Slice tries to bum rush Sane with a series of wild strikes but Sane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sane forces Slice back against the cage and clinches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sane jumps guard but Slice stands there with Sane around his waist. Sane gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Slice is trying to break the clinch but Sane is controlling him.

Sane fails with a takedown attempt.
Sane tries to clinch there but Slice circles away.
Aaron Slice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Slice falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sane counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Sane takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Sane seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slice does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bret Sane has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sane shoots in but no luck this time.
Aaron Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Sane.
Sane closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sane is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Slice looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sane gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Slice is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sane lets go of the hold and Slice can pop his arm back in it's socket.
