Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Newman McFerguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McFerguson comes to the cage accompanied by "Only God Knows" by Poopdeflex. Rafael Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Newman McFerguson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rafael Santos! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos shoots for a double leg takedown but McFerguson sprawls well. He's pushed Santos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Santos avoids a kick to the body.
Santos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Santos blocks a head kick by McFerguson.
McFerguson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. McFerguson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. McFerguson closes the distance and clinches up with Santos, looking for a takedown. McFerguson pushes Santos against the cage but Santos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Santos has his takedown stuffed and McFerguson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Santos's guard now. McFerguson stopping the sweep attempt from Santos. Santos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McFerguson. McFerguson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Santos has a closed guard, preventing McFerguson from standing up. McFerguson tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard. McFerguson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Santos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Santos stuffs the takedown. McFerguson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Newman McFerguson. That's going to take a lot out of him. McFerguson shoots in looking for a takedown. Santos tries to sprawl out of it but McFerguson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McFerguson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McFerguson is breathing heavily. McFerguson fails with the takedown. McFerguson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Santos shoots in for a takedown but McFerguson shows good takedown defense. McFerguson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McFerguson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Santos is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McFerguson off and has taken his back! McFerguson is trying to defend against the choke here but Santos has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Santos Tightens the hold and McFerguson taps out furiously! Santos displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
