Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez has chosen Mavado - Final Destination (Raw) - Summer Fling Riddim as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Cole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manny Alvarez! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Alvarez scores with a takedown into Cole's guard. Cole is pulling down on Alvarez's head. It's preventing any offense from Alvarez, at least for the moment. Alvarez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cole manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alvarez has Cole in his guard. Cole trying to control the position from guard on top but Alvarez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cole forces his way into half guard. Cole wants to work for an arm triangle but Alvarez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez is refusing to be controlled, as Cole sits in half guard. Cole could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Alvarez is in trouble now - Cole has advanced to mount! Cole is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Alvarez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Alvarez shrugs it off. Alvarez tries to hold on but Cole postures up. Cole thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is looking to improve his position but Cole isn't that keen on the idea. Alvarez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cole controlling from the full mount. Alvarez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Alvarez tries to bum rush Cole with a series of wild strikes but Cole uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cole gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alvarez to score an easy takedown into full guard. Alvarez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cole is keeping the position for now. Cole has his foot on Alvarez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alvarez works his way back into a safe position though. Alvarez has gone for a leg lock! Cole slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alvarez's guard. Alvarez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole tries to free his leg and advance position but Alvarez is retaining full guard. Alvarez wants to sweep here but Cole controlling him for the moment. Alvarez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cole sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alvarez's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Cole will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Alvarez throws a nice looking combination but Cole bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alvarez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cole sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alvarez somewhat. Alvarez shoots in but no luck this time. Alvarez gets a takedown into half guard. Cole is trying to control but can't.
Alvarez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cole looks like he's trying to stand up.
Alvarez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole is looking to control Alvarez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cole avoid being mounted? Cole gets full guard. Cole is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Alvarez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cole manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alvarez has Cole in his guard. Mark Cole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cole trying to control the position from guard on top but Alvarez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alvarez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole sitting in guard here, content to control. Alvarez is trying to control the position but Cole postures up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alvarez can do anything to dispel that myth. Cole wants to control from the top but Alvarez keeps moving. Alvarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cole is standing up over Alvarez. Alvarez looks to escape but Cole dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole trying to control the action but Alvarez is working from the bottom. Alvarez is trying to get back to half guard. Alvarez is not content to let Cole control the position. Alvarez is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alvarez looking for a sweep but Cole has passed into full mount! Oh no! Cole prevents Alvarez from getting the reversal. Cole thowing shots but they're missing. Cole manages to capitalize on a mistake by Alvarez to take his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Manny Alvarez will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Cole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Alvarez. Alvarez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cole avoids it really well and circles away. Alvarez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cole swivels and escapes. A punch combination from Cole misses. Cole looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cole moves into the clinch successfully.
Cole is trying to break the clinch but Alvarez has him pressed against the cage. Alvarez can't get the takedown.
Mark Cole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manny Alvarez. Alvarez wants a takedown but no success here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cole gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Alvarez blocks a body shot from Cole. Cole gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Manny Alvarez has been cut. Cole wants a takedown.
Cole tries to land knees in the clinch but Alvarez avoids the damage to the body. Cole can't get the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvarez stops a takedown attempt from Cole.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Alvarez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Alvarez stops a takedown attempt from Cole.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Cole manages to pull guard.
Alvarez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alvarez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alvarez has gone for a leg lock! Cole slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alvarez's guard. Alvarez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cole is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is looking for a triangle but Cole pushes his legs off easily.
Alvarez wants to sweep here but Cole controlling him for the moment. Alvarez working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Cole has passed into half guard!
Alvarez is trying to maintain the position but Cole is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alvarez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Alvarez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cole tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Cole. I think Cole has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
