Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bounty Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter looks to land a body kick but Gracie moved away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gracie checks a leg kick.
Gracie on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hunter lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gracie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gracie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hunter looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Gracie moves out of range of the body kick.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hunter throws a solid leg kick but Gracie takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hunter.
Gracie keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Gracie tries to clinch but Hunter is having none of it.
Hunter throws out a powerful jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gracie takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hunter.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunter fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hunter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gracie momentarily.
Hunter sizes up Gracie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Hunter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hunter.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Hunter drops Gracie with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Gracie! Hunter dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bounty Hunter!
