Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Chipperson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad El Sayed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Sayed has chosen Stand Up by Trapt as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lyle Chipperson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammad El Sayed! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.

Chipperson tries to clinch up. El Sayed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chipperson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Chipperson misses with a takedown attempt enabling El Sayed to counter with a crisp jab. Chipperson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chipperson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around El Sayed's waist but El Sayed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chipperson off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyle Chipperson. That's going to take a lot out of him. El Sayed lands with a nice body kick.
El Sayed moves into the clinch. El Sayed gets underhooks to prevent Chipperson's takedown attempt.
A nice right hand lands inside from El Sayed. El Sayed lands an elbow that stopped Chipperson in his tracks for a moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! El Sayed tries to land a knee to the head but Chipperson blocks with his arms.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Chipperson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Chipperson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chipperson throwing strikes from guard but El Sayed blocks nicely.
El Sayed has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Chipperson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Chipperson tries for a takedown but El Sayed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. El Sayed goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Chipperson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. El Sayed throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Chipperson fails with the takedown. Chipperson is breathing heavily. Chipperson looks for a takedown but El Sayed sprawls well.

A decent looking cross lands there for El Sayed. El Sayed getting the better of the striking in that exchange. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. El Sayed catches Chipperson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
El Sayed moves into the clinch. El Sayed displaying some good clinch control by pressing Chipperson up against the cage. Chipperson lands an elbow that stopped El Sayed in his tracks for a moment.
El Sayed successfully pulls guard.
El Sayed wants to stand and escape but Chipperson is having none of it. Chipperson passes El Sayed's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Chipperson wants to work for an arm triangle but El Sayed is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

El Sayed pushes Chipperson off and gets back to his feet. Mohammad El Sayed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. El Sayed lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Chipperson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chipperson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
El Sayed tries to clinch up but Chipperson circles away and keeps his distance. El Sayed leaves Chipperson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chipperson closes the distance looking to clinch and El Sayed counters with a leg kick.

You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of El Sayed. El Sayed swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mohammad El Sayed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chipperson shoots in for a takedown but El Sayed shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
El Sayed pushes Chipperson up against the cage in a clinch. El Sayed tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Chipperson wants a takedown but no success here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chipperson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chipperson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but El Sayed pulls him back up using the underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mohammad El Sayed dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lyle Chipperson's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Chipperson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
El Sayed throws a nice head kick!
That kick from El Sayed tenderised Chipperson's leg. Chipperson is trying to keep his angry face on. El Sayed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Chipperson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. El Sayed tries to clinch up. Chipperson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? El Sayed is fending him off so far but Chipperson persists. Nope, El Sayed circles away and we're back to standing. El Sayed lands a two punch combo.
Chipperson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. El Sayed defends it nicely. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Chipperson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. El Sayed throws a head kick that Chipperson semi-blocks.

El Sayed connects with a leg kick. Chipperson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. El Sayed ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A punch lands to the side of Chipperson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Chipperson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says El Sayed as he avoids it easily.
Chipperson gets tackled into the cage by El Sayed. El Sayed maintains the clinch. Chipperson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. El Sayed smiles and moves away.
Chipperson shoots in but no luck this time.

Chipperson fails to land the takedown. Chipperson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Chipperson takes one on the button. El Sayed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

El Sayed gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chipperson goes for a takedown in the clinch but El Sayed prevents it.

El Sayed stands and steps away. Chipperson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Chipperson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. El Sayed throws a quick inside leg kick. El Sayed feints a jab promting Chipperson to slip. El Sayed then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Chipperson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chipperson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
El Sayed darts in and clinches Chipperson up against the cage.
El Sayed pulls guard effortlessly. El Sayed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chipperson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chipperson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Chipperson trying to control the position from guard on top but El Sayed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chipperson prevents El Sayed from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mohammad El Sayed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Lyle Chipperson's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
El Sayed defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chipperson. Chipperson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before El Sayed can pounce on him.
Chipperson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A head kick from El Sayed lands but Chipperson takes it in his stride. El Sayed lands a lovely overhand right.
Chipperson has closed the distance and engaged El Sayed in a clinch.

El Sayed gets a trip takedown into half guard. Chipperson wants to control but El Sayed is keeping busy and won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chipperson missing with punches from the bottom.

Chipperson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. El Sayed tries to avoid it but Chipperson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag El Sayed to the ground. El Sayed escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyle Chipperson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chipperson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by El Sayed. Good shot there by El Sayed. Chipperson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as El Sayed throws out the jab.

Chipperson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as El Sayed works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Chipperson won't allow El Sayed to get back to his feet. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lyle Chipperson. Well El Sayed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
