Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivanna Puff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Rupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivanna Puff has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puff pushes Rupp up against the cage in a clinch.
Rupp tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Puff stuffs the takedown attempt from Rupp. Rupp gets slowly back to his feet.
Rupp clinches but Puff breaks the clinch

and Puff counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mike Rupp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Puff shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rupp's guard.

Puff stands up from Rupp's guard - Puff perhaps looking for a knockout.

Rupp has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Puff has passed into side control.

Puff throws an elbow but Rupp slips to the side and avoids it well.
Rupp is pushing Puff's head away, looking to escape. Puff manages to hold on to the position though.
Rupp gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rupp is controlling Puff's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rupp moves into full guard.

Rupp has his foot on Puff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Puff works his way back into a safe position though.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Puff just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rupp's brow.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ivanna Puff will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Nice straight punches there by Puff. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Puff.
Horrible takedown by Puff or perhaps it was just good defense by Rupp which made him look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Puff's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ivanna Puff.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Puff, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
