Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fernando Beltran JR! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brock Leister! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leister shoots in but no luck this time. Leister dodges the punch combination from Beltran JR.
Leister fails with an attempt to clinch.
Beltran JR cracks Leister with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Leister closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Leister lands in his opponent's guard. Leister scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Beltran JR looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Leister puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Leister lands strikes from half guard. Beltran JR slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leister trying to control the position from guard on top but Beltran JR is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leister content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Leister lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Leister stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beltran JR swivels though and keeps the full guard. Leister stands and throws Beltran JR's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beltran JR takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Leister postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Leister tries to advance to mount but Beltran JR denies him. Leister landing a few strikes. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Leister has eaten all the pies!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leister connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Beltran JR some visible discomfort.
Beltran JR manages to get back to half guard. Leister is looking to take a break and control but Beltran JR is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nice strikes from Leister there. Leister looks gassed! Leister moves into full mount! Beltran JR won't be happy about that! Beltran JR working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leister wants to control the pace but Beltran JR is squirming around nicely. Leister fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Leister is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Beltran JR has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Beltran JR! Beltran JR won't allow Leister to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Leister dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Beltran JR scores with a punch to the head. Leister shoots for a takedown but Beltran JR saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Leister bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Beltran JR lands a two punch combo.
Beltran JR misses the shot to the body. Beltran JR displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Leister shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beltran JR as he jumps to the side. Leister looks for a takedown but Beltran JR sprawls well. Fernando Beltran JR has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Leister. Beltran JR keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leister looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Leister. Leister seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Leister landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Leister is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Leister lands strikes from half guard. Beltran JR has hold of Leister's hands but Leister slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Beltran JR is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Leister scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leister thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Beltran JR to regain full guard. Leister keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Beltran JR's head. Leister trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Leister trying to control but Beltran JR is working from the bottom. Leister distracts Beltran JR with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Leister scoring with punches to the head and body. Leister with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Leister is breathing heavily. Beltran JR has an active guard here but Leister has managed to pass into half guard.
Beltran JR tries to roll over but Leister keeps him under control. Leister has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leister is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Beltran JR with the active half guard here but Leister passes nicely into side control. Leister wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Beltran JR, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leister creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Leister passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Beltran JR! Beltran JR is desperately trying to improve his position but Leister has a good base and remains in mount. Leister postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Beltran JR looks a forlorn figure.

Brock Leister showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Leister fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Beltran JR lands a jab-cross combination. Beltran JR throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Left hook, right uppercut from Beltran JR. Leister pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Beltran JR cracks Leister with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fernando Beltran JR is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Beltran JR throws a one two combo.
Leister fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Beltran JR moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Leister drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Beltran JR scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That's one minute gone in the round. Beltran JR rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Leister moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Leister on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Beltran JR misses with a wild combination.
Beltran JR will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Beltran JR takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Beltran JR is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Beltran JR uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Leister takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The fighters circle momentarily. Beltran JR darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Beltran JR connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Leister dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Beltran JR lands a glancing blow to the side of Leister's head. Leister shoots in looking for a takedown. Beltran JR tries to sprawl out of it but Leister keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beltran JR manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fernando Beltran JR has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Leister. Beltran JR looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Beltran JR throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Leister darts in and clinches Beltran JR up against the cage. Leister has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Beltran JR clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beltran JR takes a big shot to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beltran JR covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Beltran JR is rocked! A helpless look comes across Beltran JR 's face. He knows he's trapped as Leister lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!
