Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardwick wants to clinch up but Fernandes keeps it at a distance.
Hardwick comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hardwick throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fernandes counters with an inside leg kick.
Hardwick lands with an uppercut that bounces Fernandes off the cage and back into rage.
Hardwick misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fernandes.
Fernandes tries to clinch up.
Hardwick leaves Fernandes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Hardwick as Fernandes shoots in.
Fernandes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hardwick swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fernandes wants to clinch up but Hardwick keeps it at a distance.
Hardwick throws a sloppy body shot
and Fernandes counters with a shoot takedown. Hardwick fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fernandes drops back looking for a leg! Hardwick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hardwick manages to kick Fernandes off! Fernandes jumps back into Hardwick's guard.

Fernandes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Fernandes with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fernandes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hardwick manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fernandes has Hardwick in his guard.
Fernandes working for a triangle but Hardwick defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fernandes looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hardwick is defending well. Fernandes quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hardwick has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fernandes celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
