Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Dillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Hatton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kick Ass. Hatton has chosen Bret Hart theme as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Dillan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bret Hatton! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillan lands a lovely overhand right. Nice sprawl there from Dillan as Hatton shoots in. Hatton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dillan! Dillan is looking to get to half guard. Dillan tries to hold on but Hatton postures up. Dillan is looking to improve his position but Hatton isn't that keen on the idea. Hatton jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dillan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dillan and Hatton has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Hatton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dillan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hatton but great work by Dillan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hatton wants to get back to his feet.
Hatton wants to control but Dillan is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dillan prevents Hatton from improving his position. Dillan is stalling here. Hatton is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dillan seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hatton has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Dillan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hatton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Dillan lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Dillan has good solid back control here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! I really don't envy Hatton right now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dillan keeps control of the position as Hatton tries to break free.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dillan is trying to stick to Hatton's back but Hatton is turning into Dillan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dillan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hatton. Hatton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dillan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hatton has Dillan in his guard. Hatton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dillan defends well. This has been an exciting period of action! Dillan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hatton works some decent striking defense from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hatton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A looping hook to the body misses from Dillan. Hatton does a little dance to reset his feet. Dillan stuffs the takedown. Sloppy strikes from Hatton. Those never looked like landing. Hatton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dillan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hatton somewhat. Dillan looks to land a right hand but Hatton moved out of range. Hatton shoots in but Dillan avoids the takedown attempt easily. Max Dillan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Hatton. Dillan misses with the combination.
Hatton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dillan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bret Hatton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hatton shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Dillan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dillan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dillan looks to land a combination. Hatton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Dillan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Dillan misses with an uppercut. Hatton saw that one coming. Dillan swinging wildly here.
Dillan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dillan wants it to stay on the feet. Hatton tries for a takedown but Dillan circles away easily enabling Dillan to counter with a crisp jab. Max Dillan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hatton misses with a takedown letting Dillan counter with a right hand. Hatton moves out of range as Dillan strikes. Max Dillan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dillan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dillan wants it to stay on the feet. Dillan throws a right and a left that both miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hatton keeping moving, preventing Dillan from controlling successfully. That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hatton tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dillan looks up at the clock and then as Hatton takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dillan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hatton is looking to regain half guard here but Dillan keeps moving and retains side control. Dillan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dillan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hatton takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Dillan defending well as Hatton loads up on a big left hand. Hatton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dillan circles away. Hatton uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dillan. Hatton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hatton there as he acknowledges the shot. Dillan throws a right and a left that Hatton avoids nicely. Hatton slips under a jab. Hatton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dillan tries to avoid it but Hatton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dillan to the ground. Dillan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hatton throws a right and a left that both miss. Hatton tries to bum rush Dillan with a series of wild strikes but Dillan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dillan misses with the combination.
