Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roger Barett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Tweedly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Barett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Tweedly! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barett fails to land with a series of punches.
Tweedly looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Barett gets back to full guard.
Tweedly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tweedly can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tweedly stops Barett from standing up. Tweedly passes into half guard. Tweedly working the head and body with strikes. Tweedly is keen to just control but Barett is a slippery customer. Tweedly is nestled in close to Barett, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tweedly not doing much here.
Barett is defending against the submission attempts here by Tweedly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tweedly is working away from the top position though. Tweedly wants to take a breather but Barett is having none of it. Barett tries to roll over but Tweedly keeps him under control. Tweedly not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tweedly passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Barett! Tweedly has control of Barett's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Barett regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tweedly looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barett really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Barett is in a horrible position here. Tweedly smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Barett tries to reverse the position but Tweedly maintains control. Tweedly lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Tweedly is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Barett is forced to tap! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Richard Tweedly!
