Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taavi Liisteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdual Jemall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liisteri comes into the arena with Solid Base - I like it blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Taavi Liisteri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abdual Jemall!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liisteri misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Liisteri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jemall is fending him off so far but Liisteri persists. Nope, Jemall circles away and we're back to standing.
Liisteri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jemall tries to bench press Liisteri off him but Liisteri keeps the position.
Jemall is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Liisteri tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Jemall tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jemall sneaks back into half guard.

Jemall is not content to let Liisteri control the position.
Jemall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liisteri stalling away here and it's allowed Jemall to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Jemall is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Liisteri dives into side control.
Liisteri tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Liisteri has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Liisteri is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jemall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jemall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Liisteri wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Liisteri tries for a kimura but Jemall is defending well.
Liisteri tries to advance to mount but Jemall denies him.
Liisteri has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jemall tries to hold on but Liisteri pushes him away.
Liisteri fails to advance to Jemall's back.
Jemall wants to control but Liisteri is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Liisteri moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jemall has worked his arm free - good work by Jemall!
Jemall tries to bench press Liisteri off him but Liisteri keeps the position.
Liisteri trying to control the position but Jemall is working away.
Liisteri tries to score with some ground and pound. Jemall controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jemall is not content to let Liisteri control the position.
Liisteri wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jemall, who protects the arm well.
Jemall is holding Liisteri down, trying to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Liisteri postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jemall struggling a bit here.
Liisteri goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jemall has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Liisteri but great work by Jemall.
Liisteri manages to get back to half guard.
Jemall passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Liisteri!
Jemall with a couple of short strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jemall raining down hammerfists from mount.
Liisteri throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Liisteri slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Liisteri looking for submissions off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Taavi Liisteri will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Liisteri shoots in looking for a takedown but Jemall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Liisteri's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Liisteri moves out of range as Jemall throws a body kick.
A jab from Jemall misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Jemall misses the target.
Jemall tries to work over Liisteri's front leg with a kick but Liisteri checks it.
Jemall misses with a low kick.
Jemall throws an off balance right hand
and Liisteri counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jemall!
Jemall defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Liisteri.
BOOM! Liisteri connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Liisteri has hold of Jemall's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jemall manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Liisteri throwing strikes but Jemall recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Liisteri is thwarting Jemall's attempts to control the position.
Liisteri is looking for a kimura but Jemall is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Liisteri to get the leverage.
Taavi Liisteri overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Liisteri is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jemall is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Taavi Liisteri!
