Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Q fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Monson sprawls well initially but Q persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Q is figuring out what he wants to do next. Q will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Monson actively working from the bottom here. Monson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Monson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Q pulls his head out easily. Q perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Q seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Monson for as long as he can get away with. Q passes to side control. Q advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Monson is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Q mounts Monson! Really nice guard pass there! Q looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monson is desperately trying to improve his position but Q has a good base and remains in mount. Q controlling the position easily from mount. Monson is working to get back to half guard.

Nathin Q has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Monson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Q. That one must have hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monson throws an off balance right hand
and Q counters with a one-two to the body. Monson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Q works the jab nicely. Q fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Monson throws a big shot that misses. Q misses with a double jab.

and Q counters with a nice double leg into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Q content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Monson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Q decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathin Q dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Q changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Monson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Monson's face as Q controls the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Q has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Q throws a jab when Monson was well out of range.

Q throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Monson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Q avoids the head kick by Monson.
Q loads up on a big right hand but Monson slips the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Monson throws a looping overhand right but Q ducks down to avoid it. Q thows a body shot but no joy. Monson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Q sees it coming and avoids it easily. Q misses with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monson misses with a hook. Q throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Monson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Q connects with a right hand. Monson shakes it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Q throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch lands to the side of Q 's head but he takes it in his stride. Q avoids the head kick by Monson.
Monson throws a looping overhand right but Q ducks down to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Nathin Q will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Monson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Q closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Q misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Q throws a hook to the side of Monson's head but Monson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Monson looks to clinch and Q counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Q is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Q slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Monson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Q passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Monson! Monson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Q controlling the position easily from mount. Q has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monson is looking to get to half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Q tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Monson is looking to get to half guard. Q sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nathin Q just wasn't active enough. Monson tried to score with a low kick but Q checks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Q.
Monson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Monson throws an off balance right hand
and Q finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Q uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Monson. Nathin Q is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A combination from Q does no damage. Monson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Stew Monson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nathin Q is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nathin Q is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Monson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathin Q showed his dominance in that final round. Well Q has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
