Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Pele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4Zsffydebg&feature=related as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Royce Gracie was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pele closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gracie quickly recovers to half guard.
Gracie has one foot on Pele's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Pele looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pele trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Marcelo Pele wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Pele gets tackled into the cage by Gracie. Gracie maintains the clinch.
Gracie tightens his grip and picks Pele up, before dumping him to the ground. Pele manages to land in guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Royce Gracie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A jab from Pele finds it's way through Gracie's defenses.

Gracie throws an overhand right that lands on Pele's shoulder, as Pele tries to avoid the shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pele shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pele showed some decent athleticism there.
Pele is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily.

Gracie is concentrating on defense, preventing Pele from advancing position.
Pele is working for an americana but Gracie has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Pele was thinking about the submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pele is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pele wants to get back to his feet.

Pele is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.
Pele wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Pele sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gracie decides to return to a standing position.
Pele shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Pele tries to push Gracie's head away but Gracie is holding on tight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pele tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gracie.

Royce Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pele decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gracie preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Gracie tries to roll over but Pele keeps him under control.

Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pele is working away from the top position though.

Pele throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.

No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Marcelo Pele showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Gracie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
