Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrei Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Clarkson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarkson swats away the attempt to clinch by Kozlov.
Kozlov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kozlov tries to sprawl but Clarkson drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kozlov is looking to improve his position.

Kozlov trying to hold on to Clarkson's head to control him but Clarkson postures up.
Clarkson is taking a breather. Kozlov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kozlov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Clarkson is working away from the top position though.

Clarkson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kozlov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Clarkson manages to get himself to full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ryan Clarkson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Clarkson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kozlov swivels and escapes.

Clarkson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kozlov avoids it really well and circles away.
Clarkson shoots in and drives through. Kozlov sprawls well.

Kozlov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kozlov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Clarkson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Clarkson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Ryan Clarkson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Kozlov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Clarkson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kozlov but Kozlov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Clarkson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kozlov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ryan Clarkson wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kozlov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kozlov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Clarkson.

Andrei Kozlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Clarkson.

Clarkson drives through with a takedown into Kozlov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clarkson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kozlov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clarkson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clarkson has escaped and now he's on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Clarkson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kozlov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Clarkson has managed to get both his arms back between Kozlov's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!

I've got Clarkson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
