Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bobby Hill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jo El! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! El clinches up against the cage. El tries to throw a body punch but Hill avoids it by throwing El back against the cage. A head punch on the inside from El fails to land. El tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hill avoids it. El is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hill can't fight it off and eventually El manages to take the fight to the floor. Hill looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. El wants to pass the guard but Hill is keeping the position. Hill trying to control the position.
El seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. El pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hill is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. El throwing strikes from guard but Hill blocks nicely. Hill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hill looking to hit a scissor sweep but El is one step ahead there. El throwing strikes from guard but Hill blocks nicely. El trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hill keeping moving, preventing El from controlling successfully. El with a flurry of punches that miss. Hill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. El throwing strikes but missing. El trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. El slips nicely into half guard. El throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. El keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hill keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. El trying to control from half guard but Hill is working away. El thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hill's head. Hill is not content to let El control the position. El not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. El missing with the ground and pound from half guard. El has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. El lands strikes from half guard. El landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. El thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hill to regain full guard. El throwing strikes from guard but Hill blocks nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. El stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hill swivels though and keeps the full guard. El looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hill preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hill keeping moving, preventing El from controlling successfully. Hill on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hill tries to get out of the position. This has been an exciting period of action! El with a flurry of punches that miss. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. El wants to control from the top but Hill keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as El accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hill misses with a body kick. Hill goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jo El is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. El throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hill counters with an inside leg kick. Hill throws a head kick that misses. Hill lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
El looking to score a takedown here. Hill is defending well but El drives through and ends up in Hill's guard. El working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hill's head. Hill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. El trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hill is trying to control the position but El postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. El checks a leg kick. Hill defends well against a solid takedown attempt from El. El gets a double leg takedown into Hill's guard. El throwing strikes from guard but Hill blocks nicely. El pushing down on Hill's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Hill is trying to maintain the position but El is very close to passing his half guard. El missing with the ground and pound from half guard. El trying to advance position but Hill counters by regaining guard. El connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. El passes Hill's left leg - he's now in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. El connects with a nice short shot to Hill's temple. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. El stalling. El throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hill is pressing down on El's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. El is looking to work some ground and pound but Hill has wrist control. El throwing strikes from guard but Hill blocks nicely. Hill keeping moving, preventing El from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. El throwing strikes from guard but Hill blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. El in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. El is looking to work some ground and pound but Hill has wrist control. El working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. El thows a big elbow that misses. El throws and elbow that misses. Hill uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in El's guard. Nice move by Hill! El tries to land a sweep but no joy. El throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Hill wants to stand but El has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. El bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hill's guard. El looking to sit in guard and control but Hill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hill wants to control from the top but El keeps moving. El not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hill looking to pass the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. El controlling the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. El's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jo El showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Hill throws a low kick, looking for El's leg but El calmly moves out of range. El checks the leg kick. Both fighters circling a little - Hill finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Hill circles away from the clinch attempt.

El shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hill is trying to defend but El finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Hill is staying active underneath El, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hill wants to improve his position but El is controlling well.
El wants to take a breather but Hill is having none of it. El looks to land a strike but Hill avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

El in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. El postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hill wants to stand and escape but El is having none of it. Hill preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. El trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells El's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Both fighters are breathing heavily. El working some strikes from top position. El wants to control from the top but Hill keeps moving.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! El trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom. El with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. El has been the more effective fighter overall so far. El trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. El is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jo El has got the better of the ground game so far. El chips away with some ground and pound. El throwing strikes but missing. El trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom. Hill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bobby Hill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

El throws a big right hand that misses. El with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as El accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. El trying to control the position from guard on top but Hill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. El throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hill works some decent striking defense from the bottom. El tries to free his leg and advance position but Hill is retaining full guard. El throws a big right hand that misses. Hill looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hill missing with a left hand there. El was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hill will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
El moves into the clinch. Jo El is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hill wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
El is trying to break the clinch but Hill is controlling him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. El tries to break the clinch but Hill is controlling the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hill is trying to force a seperation but El has the dominant position. Hill throws a head punch that misses. A frustrated look appears on El's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Jo El comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got El winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
