The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helms needs to keep his hands up - Stiches had a free shot at his head there.
Stiches swings for the body but Helms moves out of range.
Helms circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stiches feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Helmss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stiches staying out of range there.
Helms needs to keep his hands up - Stiches had a free shot at his head there.
Stiches is looking to clinch.
Crunch! Stiches slams his shin into Helms's torso.
Helms walks into a stiff left hand from Stiches.
Stiches lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Helms has Stiches up against the cage in a clinch.

Helms goes for a takedown attempt but Stiches pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Helms takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mac Stiches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stiches scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A jab from Helms misses.
Helms misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stiches bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Helms's head.
Helms tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stiches was well out of range. Poor timing from Helms.

Good leg kick by Stiches there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Helms has managed to clinch.

Helms is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stiches pulls him back up using the underhooks.
