Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Elrod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Elrod could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Frank Tank's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Elrod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elrod feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tanks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Tank on the wrong end of a nice jab. Elrod just misses with a punch to the body.
Elrod lands a lovely overhand right. Tank shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Elrod counters with a lovely straight right hand! Elrod scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Elrod lands a really nice looking cross but Tank seems unphased.
A right-left combo lands from Elrod. Elrod bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tank's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tank takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Elrod wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Elrod is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Tank takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A looping hook to the body misses from Elrod. Tank does a little dance to reset his feet. Elrod stuns Tank with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A swing and a miss from Elrod. A telegraphed right hand from Elrod misses the target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elrod throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Elrod is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Elrod lands with an uppercut that bounces Tank off the cage and back into rage. Elrod connects with a crisp jab. Nice jab there from Elrod. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tank shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Elrod cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Elrod connects with a body shot. Tank looks gassed! A looping hook to the body misses from Elrod. Tank does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elrod scores with a nice right hand.
Elrod moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Elrod misses with a jab, cross combination.
Elrod comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Elrod bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tank's head. Elrod throws a right and a left that Tank avoids nicely. Sam Elrod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tank with a poor takedown letting Elrod counter with a right hand. Sam Elrod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Tank.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elrod misses with a body shot.
Elrod listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Elrod lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Elrod thuds a left hand into Tank's body. Elrod thows a body shot but no joy. Elrod misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tank.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Elrod connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Elrod dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sam Elrod is winning the standup battle so far. Elrod lands with a cross. Elrod lands a nice shot that snaps Tank's head back.
Tank takes one to the chin there. Elrod misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tank takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A jab from Elrod misses. Elrod scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Elrod lands a jab to Tank's midsection. Tank keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Elrod. Elrod lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Tank gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Elrod darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Elrod tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tank was well out of range. Poor timing from Elrod. Elrod ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tank takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Elrod throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tank sees it coming and avoids it easily. Elrod swings widly with a right hand
and Tank counters with a nice double leg into side control. Elrod won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Elrod tries to bench press Tank off him but Tank keeps the position. Tank wants to control but Elrod is keeping him busy. Tank throws an elbow but Elrod slips to the side and avoids it well. Tank advances to mount. Tank looking to control but Elrod is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Tank fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elrod is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Tank locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Elrod is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frank Tank!
