Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Maccarinelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adamek comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I Am The Sword - Motorhead kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tomasz Adamek is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kris Maccarinelli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Adamek! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maccarinelli works the jab nicely. Kris Maccarinelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maccarinelli lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Tomasz Adamek has been cut. Adamek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Maccarinelli rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Adamek moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Maccarinelli throws a left and a right that both miss
and Adamek counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Adamek thows a huge punch but Maccarinelli dodges it nicely.
Adamek is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Maccarinelli doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Adamek. Maccarinelli is looking to escape. Adamek controlling the action here. Maccarinelli is trying to stand up here but Adamek is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adamek is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Maccarinelli defends it well. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Adamek stalling. It looks like Adamek might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Maccarinelli wants to get back to his feet.
Maccarinelli is breathing heavily. Adamek is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Maccarinelli on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Maccarinelli tries to get out of the position. Maccarinelli is trying to stand up here but Adamek is controlling him well. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Adamek in particular looking to stall. Maccarinelli is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tomasz Adamek. Adamek drives through with a takedown into guard. Maccarinelli can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adamek controls the pace. Adamek drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Adamek seems to have locked his on tight now - Maccarinelli screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Adamek, as he picks up the win!
