Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velcic fails with a takedown attempt.
A left and a right from Velcic both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Moritz Greve has been cut.
Velcic misses with a jab, cross combination.
Greve misses with a two punch combination.
Velcic fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Greve looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Velcic counters with a three punch combo that has Greve backing up. Greve nods at Velcic to acknowledge the strikes.

Velcic works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Greve drops his hands momentarily and Velcic takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Greve darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Moritz Greve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Velcic throws a jab when Greve was well out of range.
Greve changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Velcic tries to avoid it but Greve manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Velcic to the ground. Velcic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Velcic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Greve moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Greve shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Velcic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Greve's guard.

Velcic wants to pass the guard but Greve is keeping the position.

Greve has his feet on Velcic's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Velcic connects with a nice short shot to Greve's temple.

Velcic is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Greve defends it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Velcic moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Greve closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Greve lands in his opponent's guard.

Velcic manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Greve manages to get himself to full guard.
Velcic won't allow Greve to get back to his feet.
Velcic wants to pass the guard but Greve is keeping the position.

Velcic decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Velcic throws a nice looking combination but Greve bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Velcic tries to bum rush Greve with a series of wild strikes but Greve uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Velcic lands a lovely overhand right.
Greve fails with a takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Velcic misses with a few strikes there.
Greve attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Velcic gets caught flat footed, as Greve shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Greve is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Velcic has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Greve is looking to defend but Velcic has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Greve! Velcic pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Greve taps out and this one is all over!
