Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Busy Signal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rayn McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Busy Signal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rayn McCarthy!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Signal misses with a takedown
and McCarthy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Signal throws a hook but McCarthy blocks it.
Signal shoots in but McCarthy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Busy Signal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCarthy throws a low kick, looking for Signal's leg but Signal calmly moves out of range.
McCarthy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Signal dives in and grabs McCarthy's left leg, looking for a takedown. McCarthy pushes down on Signal's head and hops out.
Signal fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

McCarthy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Signal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Signal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McCarthy sprawls well initially but Signal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Signal wants to finish this one by submission but McCarthy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Signal.

McCarthy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
McCarthy is trying to stand up.

Signal working for a guillotine from mount but McCarthy is in no mood to give up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Signal with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Signal jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McCarthy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McCarthy and Signal has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Signal passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McCarthy!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McCarthy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McCarthy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Signal has his foot on McCarthy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCarthy works his way back into a safe position though.

Signal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rayn McCarthy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Signal here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Busy Signal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
