Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Stoltman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Stoltman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Mason! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Stoltman! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stoltman feints and then cracks Mason's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mason down. Mason shoots in looking for a takedown. Stoltman tries to sprawl out of it but Mason keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stoltman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Stoltman lands with a thumping leg kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Stoltman scores with a four punch combination! Mason is looking to clinch. A slapping body kick lands there for Stoltman. Stoltman misses with a series of wild punches.
Mason shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Mason is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Stoltman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stoltman shrugs it off. Stoltman wants to control but Mason is having none of it. Mason has control of Stoltman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stoltman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Stoltman is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Mason but it's paid off an Stoltman is forced to tap! Nice work by Mason.
