Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Pedro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Masterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pedro wants to control from the top but Masterson keeps moving.
Masterson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pedro defends well.
Pedro trying to control but Masterson is working from the bottom.
Pedro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Masterson on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Danny Pedro.
Masterson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pedro as he avoids it easily.
Masterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Pedro tries to sprawl out of it but Masterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pedro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Danny Pedro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pedro tries to clinch up.
Pedro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Masterson circles away quickly and effectively.
Pedro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Masterson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Masterson tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Pedro easily slips into full mount!
Pedro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pedro goes for an armbar but Masterson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Masterson.
Masterson advances to half guard.
Pedro wants to get back to full guard.
Pedro is trying to stand back up but Masterson is controlling him

Pedro is breathing heavily.
Masterson moves nicely into side control.
Masterson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pedro tries to improve position but can't.
Pedro is trying to work for a sweep but Masterson has mounted him!

Masterson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Pedro is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Masterson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Pedro defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Masterson.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pedro is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Masterson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Pedro because Masterson loaded up on that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dick Masterson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pedro tries to clinch but Masterson is having none of it.
Pedro tries to close the distance and clinch but Masterson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pedro is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pedro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Masterson was well out of range. Poor timing from Pedro.
Masterson tries to clinch up.
Pedro doesn't manage to clinch there - Masterson circles away.
Masterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Pedro tries to sprawl out of it but Masterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pedro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Masterson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pedro.
Pedro misses with a hook.
Pedro manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Masterson on his heels. He'll look to pass Masterson's guard now, I'm sure.

Pedro is looking to stand up but Masterson won't let him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pedro is posturing up here but Masterson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Pedro tries to roll out but it's too tight and Pedro has to tap! Slick submission there by Masterson!
