The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandage throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kattilalaakso looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kattilalaakso tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bandage swats him away and circles back towards the center.

MarttiDylan Kattilalaakso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kattilalaakso tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bandage swivels and escapes.
Kattilalaakso is still on wobbly legs! Can Bandage finish him?
Jamal Bandage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MarttiDylan Kattilalaakso.
Bandage throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Kattilalaakso's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bandage dives in looking to finish as Kattilalaakso flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bandage's strikes! Bandage is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Kattilalaakso's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kattilalaakso was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
