Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Musta Surma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Brave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brave has chosen Eco, Eco (somos de taleco) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Musta Surma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rod Brave! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brave throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Surma closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Brave works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

It looks like Rod Brave has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Surma pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Brave throws a head punch that misses. Surma blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A right hand to the body from Surma.

It looks like Musta Surma has been cut. Surma lands an elbow just above Brave 's eye. Brave avoids the elbow strike from Surma, against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brave wants to control the position but Surma says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Brave is trying is best to control the position here. Surma is taking a breather. Brave says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Surma seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Surma wants to stand but Brave has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Musta Surma wasn't doing enough on the ground. Brave shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Surma defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rod Brave will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Brave misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Surma looks to land a left hand but Brave moved out of range nicely. Brave throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brave moves into the clinch. Brave turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Brave manages to end up in side control. Surma managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Brave.
Brave wants to control but Surma is keeping him busy. Surma stops Brave from passing to mount. Brave throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brave wants to lay and pray for a moment but Surma keeps working. Surma manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Brave is pressing down on Surma's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Brave keeping moving, preventing Surma from controlling successfully. Brave trying to keep a closed guard but Surma is proving a slippery customer.
Brave lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Surma! Brave unloads with some shots from mount but Surma bucks and avoids them well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Surma taking shots to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brave is landing with some decent strikes but Surma is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Musta Surma's cut is getting worse. Brave thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Brave trying to control but Surma is having none of it. Brave working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brave trying to control but he's not successful this time. Brave sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rod Brave showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Surma looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Brave! Submission of the night perhaps?
