Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Impaler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bushido Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Impaler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Impaler persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Impaler thows a huge punch but Brown dodges it nicely.
Brown is controlling Impaler's trapped leg to prevent Impaler from advancing to side control.
Impaler is pressing down on Brown's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brown is holding on for now.
Brown is looking to improve his position.
Impaler missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Impaler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the cage. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Impaler wants to land a leg kick but Brown is out of range.

It looks like Vlad Impaler has been cut.

Impaler thows a body shot but no joy.
Brown moves out of range as Impaler strikes.

Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Impaler, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Impaler against the cage but Impaler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Impaler throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Impaler finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Impaler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Impaler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Impaler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.
