Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derek Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morales fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morales misses with a double jab
and Brown counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morales won't be happy with that. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Brown working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Morales tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Brown easily slips into full mount! Morales sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Brown stalling. Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morales keeps working. Brown prevents Morales from improving his position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morales can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morales wants to get back to full guard but Brown has passed into side control. Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Morales is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Morales manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Morales manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Brown content to stall in guard here. Morales is trying to control the position but Brown postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown wants to control from the top but Morales keeps moving. Morales tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brown controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Derek Brown wasn't doing enough on the ground. Morales throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease. Brown slips a jab and a cross from Morales.
Sloppy strikes from Morales. Those never looked like landing. Morales bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Morales. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Morales. Brown lands with a nice body punch. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Sloppy strikes from Morales. Those never looked like landing. Pablo Morales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Morales lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Morales. Brown swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Morales falls off balance throwing a combination
and Brown moves into the clinch. Morales is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Morales receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short right from Morales on the inside. Morales misses with a punch on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Brown as Morales tries to tie him up. Morales scores with a shoulder strike. Morales pressing his opponent against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brown is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Morales can't fight it off and eventually Brown manages to take the fight to the floor. Morales looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pablo Morales will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Morales misses with the combination.
Morales swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brown counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morales won't be happy with that. Morales is looking for a sweep. Brown is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Morales looks calm but he's in trouble here. Brown gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Morales is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Brown lets go of the hold and Morales can pop his arm back in it's socket.
