Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Professor F (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying F's choice of entrance music: shortest man in world. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Barton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Professor F! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! F throws a series of punches but Barton moves out of range. Barton throws a low kick but it's checked well by F. Barton shoots in but no luck this time. Barton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and F counters with a right hand to the body. Barton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. F defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Barton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but F was well out of range. Poor timing from Barton. Barton throws a jab when F was well out of range. Barton misses with a wild combination.
Barton moves away from the strike by F. Barton moves into the clinch. Barton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. F ducks right into an uppercut from Barton. The fight moves into the clinch position. F is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. F tries for a takedown but Barton manages to get underhooks.
F misses with a body punch.
F tries to stall but Barton uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Come on F - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The referee calls for Barton to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. F misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Barton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. F shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barton as he jumps to the side. Barton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and F counters by moving into the clinch. Barton is trying to force a seperation but F has the dominant position. A bit of stalling here from F.
F can't find room to land a body shot as Barton controls the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. F misses with a body punch.
Barton is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but F is keeping busy. F tries to work over Barton's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Barton is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Barton blocks a body shot from F. F tries to break free but Barton pushes him back against the cage. A frustrated look appears on F's face as he tries to break the clinch. Barton prevents a body shot from F. F's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's four minutes gone in the round. F is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. F is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Barton has denied him. F misses with a shot to the kidneys.
F is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. F is stalling here.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Professor F. Barton takes the fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Professor F will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

F is looking to clinch but Barton is avoiding it.
Barton shoots and misses and F counters with a straight punch to the midsection. F fails in his attempt to clinch. Barton moves forwards but F connects with a nice, crisp jab. Barton moves away from the strike by F. F drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. F stops Barton from standing up. Barton has F pulled in close to control his posture. Barton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. F scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. F throws a strike but Barton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. F wants to stand but Barton is controlling the position. Barton works over F with some ground and pound from guard. F avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Barton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Barton trying to control but F is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as F works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Barton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. F is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Barton working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barton trying to control but F is working from the bottom. F avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. F wants to control the position but Barton says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Barton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barton throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. F is trying is best to control the position here. F tries to kick Barton off in order to stand up. Barton Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. F struggling a bit here. Barton throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. F throws Barton to one side and escapes! Sloppy strikes from F. Those never looked like landing. Barton swats away the attempt to clinch by F. Barton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Barton does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Barton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and F cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Barton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barton misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. F throws a right and a left that Barton avoids nicely. Barton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. F manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Barton doesn't succeed with the takedown and F holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. F tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. F's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Stalling in the clinch from Barton.

F dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. F tries to circle away but Barton has him pinned against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. F pressing his opponent against the cage. F is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Barton is keeping busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Professor F showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
F drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. F won't allow Barton to sweep him here. F postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of F, into his guard. Professor F has got the better of the ground game so far. F preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Barton throwing strikes but missing. F can't keep his opponent in guard - Barton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Barton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, F has managed to free his arm - good work. F wants to get back to his feet.
Barton scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barton lands with a punch from half guard. Barton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Barton lands a nice short elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Barton. F wants to control the action here but instead Barton manages to pass to full mount! F tries to hold on but Barton postures up. F is trying to stand up. F keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
F wants to control but Barton is having none of it. F's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Barton lands a big shot there that rocks F but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This has been an exciting period of action! Barton with shots to the head and body - F looks very uncomfortable down there. F trying desperately to get to his feet.

Barton prevents F from getting the reversal. Barton in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
F in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Barton with the ground and pound from mount. Barton is going oldschool here, as he tries to force F to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so F shrugs it off. Barton prevents F from getting the reversal. Barton unloading with bombs! F looks very frustrated and is flailing away with strikes from the bottom. His corner are telling him to stay calm. Barton landing strikes, looking to finish! F really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
F takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. F is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Barton landing punches. Barton raining down hammerfists from mount. F is in all sorts of trouble here.
F takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. F tries to hold on but Barton postures up. Barton scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Barton is in the full mount, landing strikes.
F is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! F is trying desperately to improve position. F is still in real trouble! Can Barton finish him? F wants to control but Barton is having none of it. F seems to have recovered his senses. Barton postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks F out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Barton goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
