Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Dole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Dole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damian Boom! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some bone on bone action there as Boom checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Dole throws a sloppy head kick and Boom moves out of range easily. Dole closes the distance and clinches. Dole is trying to drag Boom to the mat but Boom just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dole manages to break the clinch.
Boom takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Dole throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boom. Dole fails to land the takedown. Dole walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dole gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dole gets underhooks to prevent Boom's takedown attempt.
Dole jumps guard but Boom stands there with Dole around his waist. Dole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Dole. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boom tries to work over Dole's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Boom is trying to break the clinch but Dole has him pressed against the cage. Dole tries a body shot but Boom blocks it.

Boom will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dole shoots in and drives through. Boom sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dole pushes Boom up against the cage in a clinch. Boom dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Boom tries to score a body lock takedown but Dole shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Dole gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Boom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boom on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dole goes for a takedown attempt but Boom pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dole fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A head kick misses from Dole. Horrible takedown by Boom or perhaps it was just good defense by Dole which made him look bad. Dole closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boom circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dole closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dole tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Boom doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Dole stalling.
Dole manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Boom trying to control but Dole is working from the bottom. Boom controls from within his opponent's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boom wants to control from the top but Dole keeps moving. Boom lands a couple of digs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bob Dole will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Dole clinches up with Boom and pushes him back against the cage. Dole really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dole jumps guard.
Boom being controlled here momentarily. Boom stands up from Dole's guard - Boom perhaps looking for a knockout. Decent striking displayed by Dole there. Dole is looking to clinch but Boom is avoiding it.
Dole shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boom pinned against the cage. Boom gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dole fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Boom is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dole blocks a leg kick. Dole darts in and clinches Boom up against the cage. Dole fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Boom looking for a takedown. Boom is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Dole scores with an uppercut up the middle. Boom is looking to control Dole's arms but Dole gets an underhook and turns him. Now Boom has his back to the cage. Dole is trying to break the clinch but Boom has him pressed against the cage. Boom wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dole stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dole. Boom has Dole pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dole manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bob Dole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Boom. Boom drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dole gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boom is fending him off so far but Dole persists. Nope, Boom circles away and we're back to standing. Dole tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dole somewhat. Dole fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dole is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dole shoots for a takedown but Boom saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boom shoots in for a double leg but Dole sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dole doesn't manage to clinch there - Boom circles away.
Dole shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dole fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dole is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Dole dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

He's got hold of a leg but Dole swivels and escapes. Dole shoots in but Boom avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dole throws a head kick but Boom moves out of range.
Boom gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Bob Dole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dole keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bob Dole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Boom. Dole changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boom tries to avoid it but Dole manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boom to the ground. Boom escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dole misses with a low kick.
Dole is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Boom shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dole pinned against the cage. Dole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fight stays on the outside here - Dole looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dole uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boom. Boom blocks the body kick.
Dole tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boom paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dole throws a head kick but Boom moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Boom. Those never looked like landing. Dole fails with a takedown attempt. Dole takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bob Dole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boom fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dole manages to avoid it. Boom gets tackled into the cage by Dole. Dole maintains the clinch. Boom gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dole.
Dole drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boom pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dole is fending him off so far but Boom persists. Nope, Dole circles away and we're back to standing. Dole shoots for a takedown but Boom saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boom tries to clinch but Dole is having none of it. Decent striking displayed by Boom there. Dole fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Boom lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dole at a distance.
Damian Boom has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bob Dole is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dole jabbing away but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bob Dole. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dole, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
