Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank Abrahms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tank Abrahms!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrahms takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Abrahms looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bronson throws a looping overhand right but Abrahms ducks down to avoid it.
Abrahms tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bronson swivels and escapes.
A head kick misses from Abrahms.
Bronson moves out of range of the body kick.
Abrahms is looking to clinch.
Bronson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Abrahms's head.
Bronson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Abrahms.
Bronson lands a slapping body shot.
Bronson tries to land a front kick but Abrahms steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Bronson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Abrahms dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Abrahms pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abrahms ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bronson scores with a decent looking hook.

Abrahms has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bronson finds it's way round the side to connect with Abrahms's head.
A big left from Bronson misses.
Bronson throws an overhand right that lands on Abrahms's shoulder, as Abrahms tries to avoid the shot.
Bronson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Abrahms has time to react.
Bronson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Abrahms.
Charles Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tank Abrahms.
Abrahms takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Abrahms throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bronson was covering up waiting for the punch and Abrahms finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Bronson wants to pass the guard but Abrahms is keeping the position.

Bronsonis looking to pass into half guard but Abrahms pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Abrahms is in guard.

Abrahms stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bronson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Abrahms advances to half guard.
Bronson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bronson.
Bronson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Abrahms not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Abrahms's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tank Abrahms was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bronson misses with a hook. Abrahms ducked under it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

No joy there for Bronson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Abrahms closes the distance and clinches up with Bronson, looking for a takedown. Abrahms pushes Bronson against the cage but Bronson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bronson catches Abrahms with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


It looks like Tank Abrahms has been cut.

Bronson closes the distance and clinches.
Abrahms is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bronson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Abrahms ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Abrahms no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bronson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bronson stands up over Abrahms, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Abrahms manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bronson manages to get himself to full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tank Abrahms hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bronson throws a series of strikes that have Abrahms backpedaling.
Abrahms keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Abrahms tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Abrahms shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bronson as he jumps to the side.
Bronson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Abrahms's head.

Bronson looks to throw the jab but Abrahms is out of range.
Bronson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Abrahms's hands.

Bronson gets tackled into the cage by Abrahms. Abrahms maintains the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Abrahms shoots in looking for a takedown. Bronson tries to sprawl out of it but Abrahms keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bronson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bronson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Abrahms doesn't seem bothered though.

Abrahms shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bronson as he avoids it easily.
Abrahms is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Abrahms will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bronson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bronson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Abrahms, pushing him back against the cage.

Abrahms has Bronson pressed against the cage, preventing Bronson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bronson is looking to break free of the clinch but Abrahms has double underhooks.

A swing and a miss from Bronson.
Abrahms fails with the takedown.
Tank Abrahms is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bronson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Abrahms has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bronson finds it's way round the side to connect with Abrahms's head.
Bronson connects with a body shot that sends Abrahms's belly button to the back.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bronson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abrahms.
Abrahms tries to clinch there but Bronson circles away.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Abrahms shoots in looking for a takedown but Bronson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Abrahms's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Abrahms feints and then cracks Bronson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bronson down.

Abrahms throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Abrahms is defended easily by Bronson.

and Bronson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Abrahms takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bronson lands with a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No luck for Abrahms with that takedown attempt.

Abrahms shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bronson defends it nicely.

Abrahms is rocked!
Abrahms gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bronson gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Abrahms is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Bronson!
