Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny McBraddish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Gustafsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McBraddish comes to the cage accompanied by Broken by 12 Stones. Gustafsson has chosen Dark Tranquility - The Final Resistance as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny McBraddish! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gustav Gustafsson! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McBraddish missing with a left hand there. Gustafsson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McBraddish misses with a wild body shot. Gustafsson throws a nice looking combination but McBraddish bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gustafsson lands a right hook to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by McBraddish. That's going to slow Gustafsson down. McBraddish throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. McBraddish fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gustafsson manages to avoid it. McBraddish lands with an uppercut that bounces Gustafsson off the cage and back into range. Gustafsson tries to score a power double leg takedown but McBraddish sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gustafsson somewhat. Gustafsson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McBraddish slaps away a takedown attempt from Gustafsson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Gustafsson closes this distance looking for a takedown but McBraddish circles away. Johnny McBraddish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustav Gustafsson. McBraddish's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gustafsson under the eye. Johnny McBraddish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from McBraddish misses the target. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gustafsson checks a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gustafsson has McBraddish up against the cage in a clinch.
McBraddish lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gustafsson backwards. McBraddish swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nice body punch from McBraddish. McBraddish pushes Gustafsson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. McBraddish tries to work over Gustafsson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Gustafsson tries to score a body lock takedown but McBraddish shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Gustafsson displaying some good clinch control by pressing McBraddish up against the cage. Gustafsson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gustafsson wants to take a breather but McBraddish manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Gustafsson. Gustafsson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustafsson with a flurry of punches that miss. Gustafsson wants to stand and escape but instead McBraddish has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gustafsson wants to improve his position but instead McBraddish has moved into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McBraddish wants to stand up but Gustafsson is controlling the position.
Gustafsson is looking for a sweep. McBraddish is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gustafsson is trying to maintain the position but McBraddish is very close to passing his half guard.
Johnny McBraddish has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. McBraddish connects with a leg kick. Gustafsson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Gustafsson avoids the body shot from McBraddish.
Gustafsson blocks a low kick nicely. McBraddish throws a leg kick but Gustafsson sees it coming and moves out of range. Gustafsson moves into range and clinches up with McBraddish. McBraddish misses with a punch on the inside.
Gustafsson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Gustafsson can't get the takedown.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Still in the clinch, McBraddish scores with a nice short uppercut. Gustafsson misses with a punch to the body.
Gustafsson has hold of one of McBraddish's legs. McBraddish is fighting the takedown attempt but Gustafsson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gustafsson stops McBraddish from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gustav Gustafsson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
McBraddish bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gustafsson's head. Gustafsson checks a leg kick nicely. Gustafsson moves into range and clinches up with McBraddish. Gustafsson is working for takedown but McBraddish is calmly controlling the position for now. McBraddish scores with a hook to the body. McBraddish prevents the takedown attempt.
Gustafsson is trying to drag McBraddish to the mat but McBraddish just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Johnny McBraddish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustav Gustafsson. McBraddish prevents the takedown attempt.
McBraddish lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gustafsson backwards. A shot in the inside from McBraddish. McBraddish gets through Gustafsson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gustafsson is rocked! McBraddish's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Gustafsson is still on wobbly legs! Can McBraddish finish him? McBraddish scores with a shoulder strike. A shot in the inside from McBraddish. A nice left hand lands by McBraddish.
McBraddish lands a big right hand that drops Gustafsson! The killer instinct kicks in and McBraddish finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by McBraddish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny McBraddish! Johnny McBraddish retains his bantamweight title!
